Portland Metro Events and Communications Coordinator

Job overview

The Portland Metro Events and Communications Coordinator role is onsite in Happy Valley, OR. Compensation is $30.00 per hour. The coordinator plans and manages fundraising, public relations, and community awareness events, while building partnerships and supporting volunteer and advisory board activities. The work increases the organization’s visibility and community engagement across the Portland Metro area.

What you'll do

• Plan and execute fundraising and community events, including logistics, sponsorships, and volunteer participation
• develop a Speakers Bureau
• manage event budgets, donations, and event databases
• recruit, screen, select, place, and train volunteers
• support background-check compliance
• liaise between program managers and volunteers
• support advisory board meetings, correspondence, and fundraising
• build community partnerships
• maintain board records and administrative systems.
