What you'll do

• Prepare and sterilize the operating room and gather equipment and supplies
• assist with washing, shaving, and disinfecting the surgical site
• maintain sterile technique and the sterile field
• assist with draping, sponging, retracting, passing instruments and supplies, and cutting sutures
• anticipate surgeon needs
• assist with specimens and wound dressings
• help transfer patients
• and support front-desk tasks such as answering phones and pulling charts.
