Senior HVAC Technician

Job overview

The Senior HVAC Technician role is onsite in Austin, TX. Compensation is $30–$40 per hour based on experience. The technician supports the growing service department at North and Central Austin Aire Serv and may grow into leadership as the company expands. The role diagnoses, repairs, maintains, and installs HVAC/R systems across property types while delivering clear customer communication and service documentation. It also helps establish service quality standards and may mentor junior technicians.

What you'll do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC/R equipment including air conditioners, boilers, refrigeration systems, and appliances
• perform preventive maintenance
• lead installation projects
• conduct field service including plumbing repairs, refrigeration servicing, ammonia refrigeration management, and equipment replacement
• maintain boilers and property infrastructure
• communicate with customers and office staff
• document service activities and compliance records
• identify repair and replacement opportunities
• assist with training junior technicians.
