The Vitamin/Body Care Assistant role is onsite in Walla Walla, WA. Compensation is $19.50 per hour. The position supports Natural Grocers' vitamin and body care departments and their successful operation and profitability. The assistant helps maintain inviting, stocked departments and supports customer service, inventory, merchandising, and sales. The role also assists department managers with staff tasks and store operations, while answering customer questions within company standards and policies.

What you'll do

• Provide customer service and a positive customer experience
• maintain inviting, stocked departments
• assist managers with ordering and inventory
• support margin, sales, and department profitability
• ensure products meet company standards
• follow up on special orders
• merchandise shelves, endcaps, and displays
• assist with tagging, facing, rotating, cleaning, markdowns, stocking, and backstock
• help train and monitor department personnel
• conduct active and passive demonstrations
• support opening and closing, cash handling, and cashier closeout
• handle register functions and customer returns
• answer product questions using approved health-supportive statements
• use SAP and inventory software.
