Lead Preschool Teacher

The Lead Preschool Teacher role is onsite in Bridgeport, CT. Pay is $19–$25 per hour. The position supports the child care program’s goal of providing high-quality early childhood education in a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment. The teacher plans developmentally appropriate learning, supervises classroom staff, and supports children’s growth and well-being. The role also builds partnerships with families and maintains required health, safety, licensing, and program documentation.

What you'll do

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum
• create an inclusive classroom
• supervise children and support their health and safety
• coach assistant teachers and aides
• observe and document developmental progress
• develop individualized learning experiences
• maintain child portfolios and records
• communicate with families and conduct parent conferences as required
• follow health, sanitation, and safety procedures
• maintain licensing compliance and complete required documentation
• participate in training and quality improvement.
