• formulate, carry out, and reevaluate care plans
• provide direct care, treatments, medications, intravenous therapies, and venous blood collection
• communicate changes to physicians
• coordinate referrals and patient-care conferences
• educate clients and families
• document nursing actions and progress
• delegate and supervise care
• take on-call duty nights, weekends, and holidays as assigned.
