This role supports the FAA Spectrum Engineering Services Group within the Leidos NISC IV program, focusing on securing and protecting civil aviation spectrum resources. The role exists to ensure interference-free operation of FAA communications, navigation, and surveillance systems across the National Airspace System. The engineer performs frequency assignment actions, conducts compatibility analyses, and collaborates with federal and contractor engineers to maintain compliance with established engineering standards.

What you'll do

• Contributes to planning and execution of frequency assignment actions
• performs radio-frequency compatibility and interference analyses
• conducts RF propagation and link-budget analyses
• validates technical data for accuracy
• collaborates with Service Area Spectrum Offices to resolve technical issues.
