The Facilities Carpenter – MedStar Mobile Unit – Second Shift role is onsite in Washington, DC, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Compensation is $30–$35 per hour. The carpenter performs upkeep, maintenance, and repairs across facility spaces and systems, including minor carpentry, doors, drywall, flooring, painting, and basic plumbing or electrical tasks. The role helps maintain safe, functional hospital facilities through routine work orders, inspections, and emergency repairs as needed.

What you'll do

• Maintain, repair, clean, and operate facility areas
• perform minor carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical, lamp-changing, drywall, door, and fixture repairs
• maintain equipment and perform minor repairs with hand and power tools
• respond to facility emergencies
• maintain logs, conduct rounds, and complete work orders, tests, and inspections
• read blueprints and diagrams, estimate materials and time, and request supplies.
