Receptionist and Salon Assistant

The Receptionist and Salon Assistant works onsite in Houston, TX, three days a week, including full weekend hours on Saturday and Sunday. Compensation is $10–$13 per hour, with eligibility for tips and commissions. Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids provides children’s haircuts in a fun, service-focused salon setting. The role helps create a welcoming experience for children and parents by greeting guests, managing appointments and salon traffic, operating the point-of-sale system, supporting product sales, and keeping the salon clean and stocked. It supports smooth daily operations and friendly customer service in a busy salon.

What you'll do

• Greet guests and provide friendly, prompt service
• manage salon software, appointments, and traffic flow
• operate the point-of-sale system
• sell hair-care products and keep retail shelves stocked
• maintain a clean and tidy store
• report to the Salon Manager and/or Salon Owner.
