Bridge Inspection Team Leader

The Bridge Inspection Team Leader role follows a hybrid schedule based out of Benesch’s Boston, MA office. The expected compensation range is $100,000–$135,000 annually, with the total package including base salary, overtime, and bonuses. Benesch is a planning, engineering, and professional services firm focused on infrastructure and communities. The team leader conducts and directs bridge and tunnel inspections, documents structural conditions, and coordinates access and schedules with owners and agencies. The work supports infrastructure safety by identifying damage, reporting findings, and recommending actions after incidents; bridge load ratings and designs are an opportunity.

What you'll do

• Conduct safety inspections of bridges and tunnels and prepare written condition reports
• perform or lead in-depth inspections using non-destructive testing, mechanized access equipment, or climbing gear
• conduct post-incident inspections and recommend actions regarding closures and detours
• coordinate inspection schedules and access with owners and agencies
• provide lead-worker instruction, work review, coaching, and training
• may provide input on staffing and performance management.
