What you'll do

• Provide direct team supervision when the Produce Manager is absent
• promote cooperation and teamwork
• support coaching, corrective actions, and performance evaluations
• assist with employee relations issues
• resolve customer complaints or refer them to store management
• manage inventory counting, tracking, planning, and ordering
• merchandise new items and weekly specials
• answer customer questions about products and policies
• inspect freshness, damage, and dates and rotate products
• remove unsaleable or returnable items
• label and price merchandise
• safely operate and maintain equipment
• follow health, sanitation, and safety procedures
• assist with interviews and labor-cost management
• prepare, package, and display produce
• unload, sort, and stock shipments.

Why this role
