The Residential Part-Time Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Care role is onsite in Hickory, NC, for $15.00 per hour and 25 hours per week. InReach provides supports and services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. The role supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities living in a residential home by assisting with daily living, household tasks, activities, and medication. Staff help residents build healthy social habits and document activities while supporting individualized services in an appropriate independent setting.

What you'll do

• Teach and assist with meal planning and cooking
• instruct and assist with household cleaning, personal care, and hygiene
• provide community recreational activities when available and participate in in-home leisure activities
• document activities
• help residents develop healthy social habits
• dispense medication and monitor dosages
• be willing to drive a full-size passenger van.

Why this role

Requires at least six months of verifiable paid or volunteer experience with the I/DD population or relevant experience, a high school diploma, and a valid driver’s license. Schedule is flexible between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday–Friday, with one required Saturday or Sunday shift.
