What you'll do

• Prepare advanced bibliographic and descriptive catalog entries
• research and confirm bibliographic data, provenance, and condition
• apply knowledge of early printing and bookmaking
• determine cataloging depth based on value and significance
• edit and proof entries and images
• respond to prospective bidder inquiries
• assist with organizing, inspecting, and preparing materials for photography and sale
• participate in departmental initiatives and occasional travel to book fairs, previews, or auctions.
