The Cook role is onsite in Portland, OR. Pay starts at $19–$20 per hour depending on experience, with growth opportunity up to $24 per hour. The cook joins Market of Choice’s culinary team and reports to the Kitchen Manager. The role prepares hot- and cold-case foods and supports coordinated kitchen production, customer service, and inventory needs. It contributes to a pleasant in-store experience through timely food preparation, teamwork, and safe sanitation practices.

What you'll do

• Assist the Chef/Kitchen Manager with daily activities and coordinate order timing and production schedules
• prepare sandwiches, salads, entrees, catering trays, soups, fried and baked foods
• provide counter support during busy periods
• deliver assigned orders
• assist with ordering and inventory
• train new kitchen workers and assistants
• maintain customer and vendor relations and sanitation requirements.
