The Cook role is an onsite position based in Joplin, MO. Compensation is specified as $15 to $18 per hour, and this role supports the high-volume breakfast and lunch service at The Big Biscuit. The cook maintains kitchen cleanliness, manages line stations, and supports the team during peak periods to ensure fast, accurate service.

What you'll do

• Prepare and cook menu items according to Big Biscuit recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
• Set up, stock, and maintain all line stations before, during, and after service.
• Ensure food is cooked to proper temperatures and served promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the line, prep areas, equipment, and storage spaces.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and allergen-handling procedures.
• Assist with prep work, portioning, labeling, and rotation of ingredients.
• Communicate clearly with expo, servers, and fellow cooks to keep service running smoothly.
• Monitor product levels and notify management when items need to be prepped or ordered.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any maintenance issues.
• Support teammates during peak periods to ensure fast, accurate ticket times.
