The Memory & System Architecture Research Intern is an onsite role based in the United States, focused on developing first-principles system-modeling capabilities. This position supports the Cloud Memory Business Unit by evaluating memory-centric architectures for AI platforms. The role exists to characterize AI workloads and build performance models for advanced memory systems. By quantifying architectural tradeoffs, the intern provides evidence-based insights that inform long-term technology and product direction.

What you'll do

• Analyze AI training and inference workloads.
• Contribute to analytical and simulation models for memory-centric architectures.
• Assess system-level tradeoffs across emerging technologies.
• Benchmark models against reference data.
• Produce system-level performance and cost analyses.
• Capture findings in technical reports.
