Adjunct Nursing Instructor – Part-Time

The part-time Adjunct Nursing Instructor role is in person at the Anchorage, AK campus; pay is $3,150–$3,850 per course. The instructor reports to the Program Manager and delivers nursing instruction under Charter College’s academic policies and standards. The instructor teaches lectures, labs, and clinical instruction, evaluates student work, and provides academic support. Advising students and identifying those at risk contribute to student learning and retention.

What you'll do

• Deliver lectures, labs, and clinical instruction using the established curriculum
• maintain lesson plans and instructional materials
• monitor attendance, participation, and performance
• grade assignments and provide feedback
• offer academic support
• participate in retention efforts
• advise students
• communicate student issues to the Program Manager
• and attend required meetings.

Why this role

Courses are 10 weeks and include 60 hours of in-class instruction plus 10 hours for grading. A bachelor’s degree in nursing and active Registered Nurse (RN) license are required; a Master of Science in Nursing is preferred. Weekend teaching may be needed.
