Dental Surgical Assistant — Periodontics and Implants

The Dental Surgical Assistant role is onsite in Pittsfield, MA, with compensation of $25–$26 per hour. The position is part-time, Monday–Thursday, 7:45 a.m.–4:30 p.m., at Michael J. Williams Periodontics & Dental Implants. The specialty practice provides periodontal and implant care. The assistant supports periodontal and implant procedures through chairside assistance, patient preparation, imaging, instrument readiness, and post-operative guidance. The role contributes to efficient clinical flow and patient comfort before, during, and after treatment.

What you'll do

• Provide chairside assistance during periodontal, implant, and related procedures
• prepare patients, operatories, instruments, materials, and equipment
• take digital x-rays and assist with 3D scanning and diagnostic imaging
• assist with anesthesia preparation and monitor vital signs
• follow sterilization, infection-control, biohazard, and OSHA protocols
• educate and reassure patients
• maintain charts and clinical records
• manage instruments, equipment, supplies, and implant inventory.
