BOP Technician

What you'll do

• Service blowout preventers, flanges, valves, reel swivels, and related components
• oversee periodic testing of equipment used for BOP operations on site
• assist field personnel with component-related problems
• learn to remove, repair, assemble, disassemble, and test BOPs and rental tools
• help develop preventive maintenance systems
• complete check sheets, inspection reports, and test charts
• perform and document pressure tests after service
• inspect, clean, and grease equipment before returning it to stock
• participate in safety, spill prevention, and hazard recognition activities
• maintain an organized work area and provide professional customer service.
