Job overview

The Forensics / Outreach Therapist role is an onsite position in Grants Pass, OR, paying $39.66–$49.46 per hour. The position provides community-based behavioral health services and requires participation in a compensated rotating 24-hour after-hours line. The therapist provides recovery-focused clinical support to people with serious mental illness, helping prevent public-safety and criminal-justice involvement. The role coordinates treatment, crisis prevention, and community resources to support clients before and after booking and during transitions.

What you'll do

  • Counsel clients with mental illness and co-occurring substance-use problems when present
  • screen clients and conduct assessments
  • develop treatment plans with forensic case managers, peers, and clients
  • provide clinical direction to forensic case managers and peers
  • coordinate with jail personnel, courts, attorneys, and diversion participants
  • link clients to substance-use services and community resources
  • track grant data and client outcomes
  • provide life-skills training
  • transport clients as needed.

Why this role

Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.; rotating 24-hour after-hours line coverage is required and compensated. Master’s degree in a behavioral science and QMHP eligibility or applicable Oregon registration/licensure are required.
