Fabrication Field Technician

The Fabrication Field Technician role is onsite in Lindon, UT, with work primarily at customer sites in the assigned service area. Compensation is not specified. The position supports Goodfellow Corporation’s Service Department and reports to the Service Manager. The role exists to keep customer equipment operating safely and reliably by performing field fabrication, welding, troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs, especially on mobile rock crushing equipment, conveyors, and related systems. It also helps reduce customer downtime through responsive service, clear communication, and instruction on proper equipment use.

What you'll do

• Install components for new builds
• repair damaged equipment in the field
• operate welding equipment, truck cranes, torches, and plasma cutters
• diagnose field problems and determine repair solutions
• communicate work updates to customers
• maintain safe, organized job sites
• and serve as a team lead when needed. Regular travel within the assigned service area is required, and overnight travel may be necessary. Extended hours and schedules of approximately 40–60 hours per week may be needed based on business demands.
