Lead Kennel Technician

The Lead Kennel Technician role is onsite in Knoxville, TN, with compensation of $15–$18 per hour. Lange Animal Hospital’s kennel team supports attentive veterinary care for dogs, cats, and, with training, exotic animals. This hands-on lead helps coordinate daily kennel operations and maintain a clean, safe environment so hospitalized and boarding animals receive consistent care. The role also supports enrichment, basic bathing, and veterinary staff as assigned.

What you'll do

• Coordinate daily kennel responsibilities and support consistent animal-care standards
• clean and disinfect kennels, housing areas, treatment spaces, and equipment
• monitor animals’ comfort, behavior, appetite, and well-being and report concerns
• provide supervised play, exercise, and socialization
• bathe dogs and provide basic coat care as needed
• assist veterinary staff with restraint and patient movement within training and assigned duties
• follow infection-control procedures, maintain records, and help prevent illness spread.
