Senior MEP Estimator IV — Educational Facility Construction

Job overview

The Senior MEP Estimator IV role is onsite in Los Angeles, CA; the salary range is $153,000–$158,000 per year. The estimator supports a large educational client’s facility construction projects and reports to the PMO Program Controls Manager and Lead Estimator. The role develops and evaluates construction cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work. It helps the client assess bids, change orders, and cost proposals, identify discrepancies and savings opportunities, and provide recommendations for project cost control.

What you'll do

• Prepare construction cost estimates from drawings, outlines, and specifications
• evaluate consultant estimates and contractor proposals
• prepare estimates for extra work
• conduct site visits, material takeoffs, and quantity surveys
• analyze pricing, historical, and vendor cost data
• evaluate bids, change orders, value engineering reports, and claims
• prepare technical reports and recommendations
• collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects.
