Internal Auditor

The Internal Auditor role is onsite in Fort Worth, TX. Compensation is not specified. The auditor reports to the Chief Audit Executive and supports Southside Bank’s internal audit function. The role helps assess whether financial, information technology, and operational processes and controls are designed and operating effectively. Audit testing, risk assessment, documentation, and reporting support compliance with bank policies, applicable requirements, and industry practices.

What you'll do

• Participate in financial, IT, operational, and SOX audits
• interview employees to understand workflows and technologies
• document processes and test key internal and application controls
• evaluate control adequacy and effectiveness
• communicate audit issues and recommendations
• assist with risk assessments and formal audit reports
• support external auditors and consultants as needed
• maintain confidentiality of sensitive bank information.

Why this role

A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related business discipline and three to five years of auditing experience are required. CPA or CIA is preferred or may be actively pursued; CISA is optional. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with overtime as needed.
