Early Childhood Center Chef

The Early Childhood Center Chef role is onsite in Spokane, WA, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and a 30-minute lunch break. Compensation is $20–$25 per hour, depending on experience. The chef supports the health and nutrition of approximately 60–70 children, from infants through Pre-K, at Lilac City Early Learning Center. The chef plans and prepares meals that meet USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program requirements and maintains the records needed for program compliance. The role helps provide safe, age-appropriate meals while supporting the center’s nutrition program and daily operations.

What you'll do

• Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack according to CACFP meal patterns
• plan menus to meet USDA/CACFP guidelines
• maintain meal counts, attendance, production records, menus, receipts, and supporting documentation
• purchase groceries and track receipts
• ensure food storage, labeling, and sanitation
• accommodate allergies, special diets, and infant feeding requirements
• support reviews and audits
• communicate with the Director.

Why this role
