The Traveling Abrasive Blaster role is onsite in the Newport News, VA area. This role prepares surfaces for coating by operating abrasive blasting equipment and working in ship tanks, compartments, hulls, dry docks, and confined spaces. The work helps meet specified cleanliness and surface-profile requirements.

What you'll do

• Operate pressure pots, hoses, nozzles, and compressors to remove rust, corrosion, and old coatings
• work in ship tanks, compartments, hulls, dry docks, and confined spaces
• prepare surfaces to specified cleanliness and profile requirements. Requires at least three years using high-pressure blast equipment, U.S. citizenship, and successful background and drug screening.
