What you'll do

• Prepare and splice fiber-optic cables
• locate problem areas and make repairs using fusion splicers and fiber test equipment
• install and maintain FTTH transmission and reception equipment and private-line network systems
• conduct test and turn-up procedures with system engineers
• interpret engineering documentation and OTDR reports
• support field maintenance and engineering teams
• perform preventive and demand maintenance
• document network changes and upgrades
• troubleshoot MDF/headend issues with third-party providers
• participate in an on-call rotation as required.
