Machine Operator – Printing

The Machine Operator – Printing role is onsite in Battle Creek, MI. Compensation is $15–$17 per hour. The role is with an industry-leading printing company operating a large production facility and producing print materials for clients worldwide. The operator prepares and runs printing presses, monitors print quality and machine conditions, and corrects problems to limit waste. The work supports production of client print materials using traditional and digital printing methods.

What you'll do

• Prepare, operate, and maintain print machines
• run presses with different size and color capacities
• ink presses and load paper
• adjust press settings
• manage ink distribution, speed, and drying temperature
• troubleshoot print problems and paper tears or jams
• make corrections to reduce paper and ink losses
• proof images electronically using digital presses.
