CNC Milling Programmer/Operator

The CNC Milling Programmer/Operator role is onsite in Bloomingdale, IL, with pay of $25–$35 per hour depending on experience. The position supports Matrix Plastic Products’ production of precision plastic injection mold components. The role programs, sets up, and operates CNC milling equipment to produce tooling that meets customer specifications, dimensional requirements, and production schedules. It works with engineering, mold making, EDM, and quality teams on new molds, revisions, repairs, and process improvements.

What you'll do

• Program, set up, and operate CNC machining centers
• develop CAM machining strategies for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis milling
• interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, GD&T, and work instructions
• select tooling, fixtures, workholding, and cutting parameters
• inspect dimensions with precision measuring equipment
• edit programs at the machine
• machine tool steels, stainless steel, and other mold materials
• perform routine maintenance
• document revisions, setups, tooling, and inspection results
• maintain a safe, organized work area
• participate in continuous improvement.
