The Optometrist role is onsite across clinics in Fresno, Clovis, and Madera, CA, with compensation of $130,000–$230,000 per year. Fogg Remington EyeCare provides comprehensive eye care in California’s Central Valley. The optometrist performs comprehensive and medical eye care, diagnoses vision problems and eye conditions, and provides treatment, prescriptions, and referrals. Patient education and coordination with the optometric team support ongoing care and practice growth.

What you'll do

• Perform comprehensive eye exams and obtain patient health and ocular histories
• counsel patients on eye health and contact lens care
• diagnose vision problems and eye diseases
• recommend or provide treatments
• provide pre- and post-operative care
• prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications
• manage ocular pathology and evaluate acute and chronic conditions
• refer patients when indicated
• maintain licensure and continuing education
• train staff and safeguard electronic protected health information.

Why this role

Requires a Doctor of Optometry, an active state optometry license, and a California driver's license with active car insurance. Current DEA certification may be obtained during credentialing. Schedule is Monday–Friday with flexibility and approximately eight Saturdays per year, one four-hour shift each.
