Job overview

The Youth Treatment Specialist role is onsite in Grand Rapids, MI, with a schedule of four weekdays, primarily second shift, and every other weekend on rotating first or second shifts. Pay is $20.50 to $22.50 per hour. Wedgwood Christian Services provides residential care, counseling, and community programs for children, teens, families, and adults. The specialist provides direct, trauma-informed care to adolescents ages 15–18 in the Audere transitional living program. Working with therapists and case managers, the role helps youth build emotional regulation, life skills, resilience, and stability while maintaining a safe therapeutic environment.

What you'll do

  • Implement individualized treatment plans
  • maintain a safe therapeutic environment grounded in the Sanctuary Model
  • build mentoring relationships
  • use verbal de-escalation and crisis intervention
  • teach communication, problem-solving, and daily living skills
  • support recreational and skill-building activities
  • administer medications as assigned
  • document records
  • transport residents as needed.
