Culinary Assistant, Part-Time

The Culinary Assistant role is onsite in Tulsa, OK. Compensation is $18.50 per hour. The Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma’s Culinary Department supports culinary programs, events, and volunteer activities. The assistant supports daily food preparation, cooking, packaging, and kitchen operations, including preparing meals for freezing and distribution. The role helps maintain a clean, safe, and organized Culinary Center and follows health, food-safety, and tracking requirements.

What you'll do

• Assist with daily food preparation, cooking, and packaging for culinary programs
• seal and package prepared meals for freezing and distribution
• maintain cleanliness and sanitation in kitchen and supporting facilities
• assist with inventory organization in coolers, freezers, and dry storage
• follow Tulsa County Health Department codes and internal food-safety and tracking procedures
• assist with cooking and plating for programs and events
• support culinary volunteer staffing as needed
• assist with opening and closing tasks, dishwashing, trash removal, recycling, and box breakdown
• clean and perform basic maintenance on kitchen equipment.
