Network Engineer

The Network Engineer role is an onsite, full-time opportunity in Dalton, GA, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pay is $25.60–$44.60 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. The engineer works with the Network Administrator and other teams to support network and technology infrastructure. The role maintains network stability, security, and performance through infrastructure design and support, troubleshooting, security assessments, documentation, and coordination with vendors and internal teams. Participation in an on-call rotation and scheduled after-hours maintenance is part of the role.

What you'll do

• Design, monitor, maintain, and support network systems
• troubleshoot connectivity issues
• support network security technologies
• conduct security assessments across LAN/WAN, telecommunications, voice, and network environments
• configure routing, switching, and firewalls
• work with BGP
• maintain technical and MOP documentation
• coordinate with vendors
• track service tickets
• apply OSP concepts
• assist with infrastructure planning
• participate in an on-call rotation and scheduled after-hours maintenance when needed.
