The Compiler Engineer, LLVM Backend role is onsite in Mountain View, CA. Compensation is $240,000–$295,000 per year for the California pay range. DensityAI’s AI accelerator program spans development from first silicon through scale-out. The engineer owns LLVM backend development for a custom accelerator instruction set, supporting compiler correctness and performance across scalar, vector, and floating-point pipelines. The work advances the compiler toolchain in coordination with chip-design and software teams.

What you'll do

• Develop the LLVM backend for a custom accelerator ISA, including instruction selection, register allocation, scheduling, and linker support
• use and develop AI-assisted tools for compiler development and performance tuning
• debug correctness and performance regressions across the compilation flow.
