Lead Medical Assistant

Job overview

The Lead Medical Assistant role is onsite in Orlando, FL, with pay of $18–$20 per hour. The home base is CFL Behavioral Hospital, with travel to UBC, Palm Point, and Park Place. The role supports providers and the medical assistant team in value-based and post-acute settings. The lead coordinates provider support and team workflows, helping improve chart preparation, coding accuracy, and care-gap closure. The role contributes to provider efficiency and quality performance through documentation support, process development, and training and mentoring medical assistants.

What you'll do

• Lead provider support and chart preparation
• assist with documentation, scribing, and note creation as needed
• identify and close care gaps
• support coding and documentation accuracy
• partner with leadership on quality assurance, audits, ACO performance, and projects
• support internal meetings and follow-up
• prepare high-risk patient case summaries as needed
• review EMR orders and assist with care coordination as needed
• support appeals and grievance documentation
• co-develop team processes
• train and mentor medical assistants
• create job aids and training materials.
