Veterinary Assistant

The Veterinary Assistant works onsite in Annandale, VA, for $19–$24 per hour. What you'll do

• Prepare exam rooms and take patient vital signs and weights
• safely handle cats and dogs
• assist with blood draws, lab work, surgical monitoring, sample collection, and vaccine preparation
• conduct rounds and provide care to hospitalized animals
• update patient records
• pharmacy shifts may include filling prescriptions and inventory
• maintain kennels, equipment, and exam and treatment rooms
• walk, feed, and administer medication to animals as directed.
