The Strength and Conditioning Coaching Intern role is an in-person, part-time internship in Eden Prairie, MN. Paid coaching is $25 per hour after earning the Fortis Level 1 Gym Certification and completing 20 required shadowing hours; the initial shadowing hours are unpaid. The Fortis Academy develops athletes physically, mentally, and personally through sports performance and athlete development. The intern assists experienced coaches with athlete training and develops coaching skills through onboarding, instruction, shadowing, and mentorship. The role supports athlete development by reinforcing technique, providing feedback, assisting with assessments, and taking on additional coaching responsibilities as certification and skills progress.

What you'll do

• Assist with strength, speed, power, agility, mobility, and conditioning sessions
• support individual, small-group, team, and camp training
• teach and reinforce exercise technique
• provide instruction and feedback
• assist with assessments, testing, and progress tracking
• prepare and maintain the facility and equipment
• build professional relationships with athletes and families
• participate in onboarding, certification classes, staff education, meetings, and mentorship.
