The Off-Shift Machine 1 Operator role is onsite in Grove City, PA. Starting pay is $29.06 per hour plus a shift differential for off-shifts. Wabtec’s Grove City facility performs diesel locomotive engine maintenance and new engine manufacturing using automated machine tools and production processes. The operator performs machine operations and related inspection, setup, material handling, and assembly tasks. The work supports quality production and maintenance of engines intended for long service life.

What you'll do

• Operate manual and numerically controlled metal-removal machines
• use inspection gauges
• set up machines and grind tools
• perform simple assembly work
• inspect parts
• move materials using cranes, jitneys, or company vehicles
• label, organize, and stock parts
• follow standard operating procedures and job safety analyses
• record quality data
• perform preventive maintenance and housekeeping.
