Job overview

The Barista role is onsite at CPCC Merancas Campus in Huntersville, NC, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Pay is $16–$18 per hour. The role supports Canteen’s campus food and beverage service. The barista prepares and serves coffee, espresso, and related food and beverage items while maintaining food safety, sanitation, and service standards. The role also supports a smooth customer experience through accurate order handling, courteous service, and an orderly work area.

What you'll do

• Prepare espresso orders using standard measures and recipes
• enter orders into the point-of-sale device and accept cash and card payments
• replenish supplies and maintain a clean service area
• follow HACCP and food preparation standards
• maintain equipment and utensils
• greet and serve customers courteously and efficiently
• explain menu items
• relay customer concerns to supervisors
• merchandise and present food attractively
• clean equipment and the workstation.
