The Molecular Geneticist is an onsite role based in Phoenix, AZ. This position supports Caris Life Sciences in its mission to improve the human condition through precision medicine and molecular science. This role is responsible for developing and using genetics and molecular biology techniques to identify targetable alterations in tumors and examine inherited conditions. The geneticist will join a team of scientists to interpret molecular tests and advise clinicians on investigation strategies.

What you'll do

• Evaluate genomic profiles of solid tumor and liquid specimens.
• Oversee and develop assays from RNA and DNA.
• Write supplements to standard reports for clinicians.
• Interpret results of routine and esoteric molecular tests.
• Develop new testing strategies.
• Work with IT to maintain clinical databases.
• Oversee CLIA/CAP-level validation of new assays.
• Train and teach staff.
• Supervise molecular technologists.
