Weapon System Test Engineer

SimVentions is seeking a Weapon System Test Engineer to join their team in Dahlgren, VA. This role supports testing of the Tactical Tomahawk Weapons Control System (TTWCS) software in various configurations. The engineer will work on a diverse team with SimVentions testers and government personnel. The primary focus is on conducting testing, modifying and troubleshooting lab hardware and equipment, performing data analysis, and documenting system problems. The engineer will also develop and maintain test procedures and matrices, generate test plans and reports, and communicate testing results to management and customers.

What you'll do

• Conduct testing of tactical weapon systems in various configurations.
• Modify and troubleshoot lab hardware, equipment, simulators, and network configurations.
• Perform data analysis of test output.
• Document system problems by creating change requests (CR)/problem reports (PR).
• Verify software fixes for CR/PR resolution.
• Develop new test procedures and modify existing ones.
• Conduct peer reviews of test procedures.
• Develop and maintain Test Verification Matrices (TVM).
• Generate test plans and test reports.
• Communicate testing event summaries verbally and in writing.
