Security Operations Center Tier 2 Analyst

The Security Operations Center Tier 2 Analyst role is onsite at a secure government facility in Fort Bragg, NC. Compensation is not specified. The analyst supports the U.S. Army Reserve Command Defensive Cyberspace Operations Mission Support Services program. The role provides deeper cyber-event investigation and quality review within the Blue Team, helping assess incidents, document evidence and decisions, and recommend authorized response actions to support the mission.

What you'll do

• Investigate escalated alerts using SIEM, EDR, network flow, packet, firewall, authentication, proxy, and host data
• develop event timelines and assess affected systems, scope, and potential mission impact
• recommend containment and eradication steps to authorized Government personnel and track approved actions
• maintain incident records and portal updates through closure
• review Tier 1 tickets and coach analysts
• escalate complex intrusions and suspected advanced activity to Tier 3
• support shifts and exercises as assigned.

Why this role

Requires at least three years of relevant experience, DCWF 511 intermediate proficiency, an applicable approved certification or qualification route, active SECRET clearance, and U.S. citizenship. Occasional local, CONUS, or OCONUS travel may be required.
