The Inventory Technician — Measurement Systems Engineering Labs role is onsite at Sullivan Park in Painted Post, NY, with work located in Corning, NY. ; the posting displays placeholder pay figures rather than numeric rates. The technician organizes and manages lab equipment and spaces so engineers can locate and use critical parts and assemblies efficiently. The work also supports safe, clean laboratory operations through inventory records, equipment research, documentation, and development of labeling, scanning, and AI-enabled methods.

What you'll do

• Sort, organize, inventory, and manage lab equipment
• enter equipment data into an inventory management system and learn and train others on its use
• research and document equipment specifications
• organize lab space
• inspect and document safety and general issues
• help keep labs clean
• research, order, and set up laboratory equipment
• develop new AI methods to find equipment for building and prototyping
• support engineers across five labs.
