Cloud Application Software Security Engineer

Job overview

The Cloud Application Software Security Engineer role is hybrid in Saint Louis, MO, with four days onsite and one day working from home. Pay is $75–$85 per hour on a W-2 basis. The engineer supports a client’s application and infrastructure security work in AWS, including AWS GovCloud.

What you'll do

• Conduct security assessments and implement remediations
• assess and remediate known exploited vulnerabilities and CVEs in applications and infrastructure
• support Security Assessment and Authorization processes and evidence collection
• analyze software bill of materials findings
• review and remediate VB.NET, SQL, and Python vulnerabilities
• harden AWS CDK infrastructure as code
• collaborate with development teams on secure coding
• track remediation and maintain documentation
• support compliance with NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP
• participate in scanning automation and continuous monitoring.
