What you'll do

  • Deliver direct and consultative instruction
  • assess academic strengths and communication needs
  • adapt curriculum, materials, and teaching strategies
  • implement goals and accommodations in students’ IEPs
  • collaborate with teachers, families, interpreters, service providers, and campus staff
  • recommend participation strategies
  • attend ARD and IEP meetings and provide progress updates
  • support communication through spoken language, sign language, or a combination based on student needs
  • use assistive listening technology and visual supports
  • maintain service records and compliance documentation.
