What you'll do

• Perform sonographic examinations and record images
• evaluate images and determine whether an exam should be extended based on preliminary findings
• present sonograms and preliminary findings to physicians
• maintain patient records and examination documentation
• assist physicians during invasive procedures
• maintain and clean equipment
• assess patient needs, explain exams, position patients, monitor image quality, and transfer optimal images to the PACS system or other records.
