Wire Rope Assembler and Fabricator

The Wire Rope Assembler and Fabricator role is onsite in Odessa, TX, with compensation of $18–$22 per hour. The position fabricates, inspects, and assembles rope products to meet quality standards and customer specifications. The role produces wire, chain, and synthetic rope assemblies by interpreting drawings and order requirements, calculating cuts and fittings, and operating production and testing equipment. Accurate assembly and inspection support customers in industries including construction, energy, mining, and crane operation.

What you'll do

• Review drawings, blueprints, capacity tables, and order specifications
• calculate wire rope cut lengths and fitting requirements
• operate swaging and proof-testing machines and forklifts
• splice wire rope and fabricate chain slings
• attach product tags and labels
• maintain inventory records
• report defective materials or products
• support shipping and receiving
• maintain a clean, organized, safe work area
• assist with deliveries when needed.

Why this role

Warehouse-based role with standard Monday–Friday hours, 40 hours per week. Overtime, nights, and weekends may be needed; minimal travel is expected, with possible training travel. Routine lifting up to 75 pounds is required.
