Junior Network Engineer

The Junior Network Engineer role is onsite in Washington, DC. The listed target salary range is $90,000–$115,000 per year. The engineer supports the US International Trade Commission; TekSynap provides technology and information-management solutions to federal government customers. The role maintains reliable, secure network and IT infrastructure operations for the Commission. It combines infrastructure installation and monitoring, escalated troubleshooting, cloud and network support, security incident assistance, and configuration and change-management work to help sustain service availability and resolve issues.

What you'll do

• Install and integrate IT infrastructure components for Tier 2–3 support
• monitor infrastructure performance, configuration standards, and availability
• respond to escalated ServiceNow tickets
• troubleshoot and resolve root causes
• maintain standard operating procedures and baseline configurations
• support WAN, cloud, wired and wireless LAN, firewalls, remote access, and secure cloud connectivity
• assist with cybersecurity incidents and investigations
• participate in change and configuration management.
