Yard Driver

The Yard Driver role is onsite in Kansas City, MO, with compensation of $20–$22 per hour. The driver supports Rail Modal Group’s Fremont Operations team in moving customer cargo through the facility. The role exists to transport containers safely and efficiently within the yard using shag trucks, helping ensure customer cargo continues onward. The driver follows work instructions, communicates progress, checks equipment, and documents container sealing tasks.

What you'll do

• Safely operate a shag truck with or without a chassis or container
• follow work instructions and communicate progress by radio or tablet
• learn the yard layout and decking strategy
• identify and report safety or maintenance issues
• conduct daily pre-trip inspections
• apply seals and bulkheads to containers and document the process.
