Dietary Aide

Job overview

The Dietary Aide role is onsite in Burlington, VT; compensation is $18–$20 per hour. The role supports the Food Services team at a healthcare and rehabilitation center, helping provide meals and snacks to residents. The aide assists with food preparation, meal service, and tray delivery while maintaining clean, safe dining and kitchen areas. Working with the dietitian, Director of Food Services, dietary staff, and care team supports residents’ nutritional needs and a comfortable dining experience.

What you'll do

• Assist with food preparation, meal service, and tray delivery
• prepare and deliver snacks according to residents’ needs and guidelines
• serve meals using portion-control procedures
• clean and sanitize kitchen areas, equipment, utensils, and food-service spaces
• maintain clean food storage areas
• follow food safety, sanitation, infection-control, and facility procedures
• report concerns to the dietitian or Director of Food Services
• treat residents with dignity and confidentiality.
